この歌詞の意味

Hot Girl Bummerの歌詞は、SNSにハマった女の子をディスった内容になっています。2018年頃、アメリカのラッパーMegan Thee StallionがインスタグラムでHot Girl Summerというタグを流行らせました。これを見たブラックベアが、タグをつけた女の子達の自慢たらしい自撮りにうんざりしてこの曲を作ったそう。

そしてHot Girl Bummerのレコーディングが終わったころ、Megan Thee Stallionが今度はHot Girl Summerを曲のタイトルにしてリリースしてしまいました。そのためブラックベアのこの曲はMegan Thee Stallionをディスった曲だと誤解されることに。

blackbearって何者？

blackbearは「hot girl bummer」をリリースする週の初めにジャケット写真をツイートしたのですが、このタイミングが「Hot Girl Summer」初登場１１位の判明直後だったこともあってか、ツイートへはミーガン・ジー・スタリオンのファンと思しき人々からの誹謗中傷リプライが絶えません。パクリの声はもちろん、陳腐だと言い切ったり、ゴミ箱を示す絵文字を使って曲に価値がないなど吐き捨てるなど、ミーガン・ジー・スタリオファンの暴走が多数見られます。

この炎上が結果的に「hot girl bummer」およびblackbearの認知度上昇に寄付してしまったとは思うのですが、実blackbearによるこのタイトル、ミーガン・ジー・スタリオンがリリースする３週間前以上に呟かれているのです。ミーガン・ジー・スタリオの楽曲自体のパクリではないことはこのことから判ります。

　しかし、ミーガン・ジー・スタリオンが自身を“Hot Girl Meg”と呼んでいることを踏まえれば、“Summer”を”bummer（バマー：不愉快で失望させること、怠け者の意）”と置き換えることにミーガン・ジー・スタリオンのファンが怒るのも無理はないでしょう。果たしてblackbearがミーガン・ジー・スタリオンにビーフを仕掛けたかは判りかねますが、blackbearが白人、ミーガン・ジー・スタリオンが黒人であることから、ファン同士の罵り合いの言葉に人種差別を意識した文言が見られるのが気掛かりです。
